Spiritual Formation Coaching

I use the term “spiritual formation” to refer to the process of being renewed by the Holy Spirit from the inside out into the image of Jesus Christ, which results in the growth of virtue and loving relationships.

I prefer to use spiritual formation rather than “spiritual growth” because formation implies I am not in control of the process; the Lord is forming me into alignment with his purposes, and I’m not merely engaged in spiritual self-improvement.

Coaching overlaps with spiritual formation and the art of spiritual direction, which is not actually humanly directed—the Holy Spirit directs. A human spiritual director asks questions and explores the ways the Spirit may be giving guidance.

• I can help you overcome fear of failure as you embrace God’s gift of being yourself, rather than simply imitating those you admire.
