The Waiting is A Weight

A poem I wrote in 2019

This waiting is a weight
An unbearable boulder
My loss of dominion a millstone.
A weight I can't lift.

This delay is an affront!
I want my paper throne back!
It blew away today.
I can't wait
To be back to normal.

My King's burden is light
Because his glory is heavy.
When he is lifted
Up the tree
Before my gaze,
So is the weight of my waiting.

The wait becomes
A majestic weight.
My face lifted,
Shoulders free and ready
To carry love's precious stones.
